Often, reading forum on discussions on IMDB amuses me. Sometimes it disgusts me. Sometimes i just can't believe some people can be so stupid and obstinate (if that's the right word...).
So much more often than not, if a person has an opinion, whether it's right or wrong -and since opinions are personal, there really is no such thing as a wrong opinion- they refuse to listen to the opinion of anyone else, and keep a very tightly closed mind. And it gets annoying.
I personally like to learn things. I like to hear what people think. But I don't like it when people make indefensible arguments, claiming their right and the rest of the world is wrong, just for the sake of... what? a fight? that's what it seems like, most of the time.
And I think it's dumb. I wish some of these people would just shut up, pull their head out of the deep recesses of their rectum, and grow up a little.
But hey, that's just me.
I like to remain calm, in those types of situations. Talk levelly, and hope they see my P.O.V., accept it or not, and move on. But I'm afraid that most of these people would just keep arguing.
Is it people like me who are wrong? Who keep trying to show the others what we are trying to say? Or is it them, who refuse to listen?
If this were to happen in real life, i've a feeling after a few attempts, i would just stare blankly at the person, shake my head in disgust, and walk away.
Probably.
